The Sarina Surf Lifesaving Club Inc (the Club) was established in the 1930’s and re-established in 1975. The club originated from a dedicated group of locals within the Sarina community who had an interest in surf lifesaving. The Club has a three storey club house which has a patrol room; first aid room; board storage room; fully operational canteen, administrator office and club training rooms. The Club is the only surf club in a small rural area namely Sarina, 34kms outside of Mackay.

The club is a social hub for the community of Sarina, with a strong and loyal membership base. The club also enjoys a good relationship with the local council (Mackay Regional Council). The Club has a strong membership base of over 200 members currently; which comprises of active seniors, cadets, nippers, probationary and life members. Additionally, the club enjoys a good working committee, with a clear and concise vision for the future operation of the club and its facilities.

The club is located at Sarina Beach and is surrounded by two motels, service station and takeaway facility and with a local population of around 430 residents and another 550 residents located at nearby Campwin Beach.

The club is 10 kilometres south of the township of Sarina. Sarina is the second-largest urban centre in the Mackay region. Located 34 kilometres south of Mackay on the Bruce Highway, Sarina is a major centre within the Mackay Regional Council Local Government area.

Our season runs from September through to April each year and the Club is part of the peak state body of Surf Lifesaving Queensland and is part of the North Barrier Branch.
